Meet Counselor Taylor

Taylor Negus, MA, LPC

Hi, I’m Taylor.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (#4652) and the founder of Tailored Counseling and Consulting. I earned my Bachelor of Science in 2013 and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019 from the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama.

For the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families throughout Walker County and surrounding communities. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, teens, adults, and couples. No matter who I’m working with, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and respected.

I have a passion for walking alongside people through life’s transitions, challenges, and unexpected seasons. Life doesn’t always go according to plan, and sometimes we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what comes next. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress or burnout, grief and loss, relationship or communication concerns, parenting challenges, college transitions, becoming an empty nester, or simply struggling with the demands of everyday life, I’m here to help you navigate those experiences.

I believe counseling is about more than simply overcoming challenges. It’s about understanding yourself, fostering personal growth, building resilience, strengthening relationships, and developing the tools you need to navigate life with greater confidence. I recognize that every person’s story is unique, and I believe therapy should be tailored to you—not the other way around.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on meeting you where you are. I want counseling to be a place where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without fear of judgment, while also feeling encouraged and supported as you work toward meaningful change.

Taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward healing, growth, and creating a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out. I’m here to help you take the next step.
